Visual Communication Design I/Spring 2026
Objective
Design an 8-page hand-bound book documenting a chosen subject on the Cal Poly Pomona campus through visual storytelling. The project emphasizes composition, point of view, and techniques such as juxtaposition and disambiguation, using seven original images to create a cohesive narrative.
Process
I explored campus environments through observational photography, focusing on form, composition, and perspective. After selecting a cohesive set of images, I refined and formatted them into a consistent layout. The final book was hand-bound using CANSON paper, with each image centered to create a unified presentation.

Package Design (3D)
Objective
Design a cohesive picnic kit package celebrating the 250th anniversary of the USA. The project focuses on pattern design, color restriction, and applying a unified visual system across multiple packaging elements.
Process
I developed original patterns using a limited red, blue, and white color palette, then contributed them to a shared group library. My patterns were applied to various items, while additional elements combined group patterns to create a cohesive system. The designs were tested, printed, and constructed by hand, ensuring all components functioned together as a complete, unified package. I folded the paper and used nothing but glue and tape to hold everything together.
Dimensions
Paper bag: 12” W x 12” H x 7” D
Additional components: various sizes (plates, origami boxes, napkin, party hat)

Demo Reel (4D)
Objective
Create a short motion piece showcasing selected highlights from previous projects, focusing on strong visual presentation and composition through animation.
Process
I selected key visuals from my prototype book and package design projects and translated them into a sequence of animated keyframes. Using Adobe After Effects, I focused on timing, transitions, and composition to create a smooth, engaging motion piece that highlights the strongest elements of each project.

Drawings/Artwork
Illustration Activity/Spring 2026
Objective
This collection showcases a variety of drawings, sketches, and illustrations created through both academic projects and personal exploration. These works focus on developing fundamental artistic skills such as composition, perspective, anatomy, value, and visual storytelling.
Throughout my illustration studies, I explored a range of traditional and digital techniques while experimenting with character design, observational drawing, conceptual artwork, and narrative imagery. Each piece reflects my commitment to strengthening my creative process, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Whether working from observation or imagination, I strive to create artwork that communicates ideas, captures emotion, and demonstrates strong visual craftsmanship. This collection represents my growth as an artist and my passion for transforming concepts into compelling visual experiences.
